Real Life Runway: Hair Inspiration

These looks aren't just for your favorite celebs anymore,
you just have to know what to ask for.

Runway Inspiration Lauren Conrad
The best way to be a dirty blonde is lots of dark ashy low lights and milky blonde teasey highlights.

Runway Inspiration Camila Alves
Starting off with a natural dark brown base you want your bronzey blonde highlights to start softly around the face and piecey towards the bottom.

Runway Inspiration Shay Mitchell
To look just like Shay, you want large ombre highlights. Focus towards the bottom half of your locks only going a few shades lighter than your natural color.

remember life is your runway.

Febuary Favorites

Here are a few things I've been loving lately.

Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush & Miracle Complexion Sponge/
Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm

The kabuki brush is perfect for on the go touch ups, I love using it with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. The kabuki brush provides the perfect amount of coverage, it's also one of the few affordable retractable travel face brushes on the market. I would recommend adding this brush to your collection. It's versatile and lives up to the Real Techniques standards.  The Miracle Complexion Sponge is a cheaper alternative to the Beauty Blender sponge, I like using my Revlon ColorStay foundation with this sponge. It's also great for blending out your under eye highlighter.

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are awesome! I choose two shades that I don't have in my collection and can't wait to pick up some everyday colors. They leave a stain on your lips which lasts all day! If you don't like the matte look you could definitely top it with a clear gloss.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder/ Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

I like using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder to touch up my look during the day. It provides enough coverage for a touch up but not too much to look cakey.

My foundation of chose lately has been the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation.  I like using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply it, I simply apply little dots on my face then blend it out. It is surprisingly full coverage so a little goes a long way and it last all day on my super oily face. If you've wanted to try the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation in the past but don't want to splurge this is a great option.

elf Eyebrow Kit

I recently picked up the elf Eyebrow Kit from Target for only $3 bucks. It is comprised of two products a dark brown wax and a lighter powder to set your eyebrows with. The wax itself provides enough color on it's own. If you are looking for a new brow product I'd definitely try this!

Dior Addict Lip Glow/ bareMinerals Beauty in Bloom

I was given the Dior Addict Lip Glow as a gift and am completely obsessed! It provides both moisture and a nice tint to the lips. It has SPF 10 and mango butter to nourish your lips.
If you are looking for an item to treat yourself to I highly recommended this. Plus the packaging is adorable!

The bareMinerals Beauty in Bloom kit is a awesome deal and a great way to try bareMinerals. I'm familiar with their loose powder products but  this was my first go at their Ready line. My favorites from the kit would be the blush and Moxie lipstick.

Thanks for reading!
