Maybe it's not bad to be a little "Too Faced"

When if comes to everyday makeup essentials, these are not them. At least that is what I previously thought. Lip Insurance is exactly that! It can make any lip product last a little longer and stops any feathering! Simply apply Lip Insurance to lips then add your favorite lip product. It's like an eyelid primer for your lips! For some extra lip plumping top off your lips with Lip Injection then you are good to go! Now if you aren't a glitter girl this is your chance to get a little daring. I love adding Glitter Glaze to just the center of my lid and blending it out with some of my favorite matte shades. It adds tons of dimension with out going overboard. The variation of looks you can create with Glitter Glaze make it a great product.

Now the Too Faced Air Buffed BB Creme could not come in cuter packaging. I have heard mixed reviews, so I am not quite sold. I do love how much coverage I am getting for a BB! My mom who has aging skin cannot get enough of it, from what I have been reading she isn't the only one. So the verdict is out on this one. The Endless Summer Bronzer may be a holy grail bronzer for me! Not at all orange, has no traces of glitter and is infused with cocoa. It really does provide a long wear time as it claims! You may be seeing it again in my favorites, I cannot get enough!

Journey of a Dress

This past weekend I went to the LACMA to check out the
Diane Von Furstenberg Journey of a Dress exhibit. It's a retrospective on the wrap dress, which she is created when she was only 26.  The exhibit showcases 40 years of wrap dresses, along with photos of celebrities/actresses wearing the famous dress. The exhibit is also full of photographs and painting of Diane, most famously paintings done by Andy Warhol. I remember writing a report on her while attending school and thinking "wow, she's such an inspirational women!" She was only 22 when she launched her first line and decades later she's still a prominent name in the fashion industry. Did you know she was married to a prince?! I totally recommend checking out the exhibit, it's a blast and perfect for any fashion lover. It runs at the LACMA through April 1st.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide For Her

I confess, I'm a sucker for Valentine's Day!
I don't care what anyone says it's the cutest day ever!
I just can't help myself the cheesy greeting cards and heart shaped everything I love it all. So I put together some of my favorite gift ideas with a fashion girl in mind.

p.s feel free to screenshot this and send it to your beau, everyone needs a little help every now & then.

1. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette/ All the indulgence without the calories or guilt. Did I mention it smells like chocolate?!
 2. Rebecca Minkoff Mab Tote Mini/ For the girl who has everything, a designer mini!
As a self proclaimed handbag addict I personally encourage this purchase.
3. Ariella Collection/ M is for Max and personalized items make the perfect gift. They give the impression you've spent hours searching for the right gift when in reality you didn't. Don't worry we won't tell anyone!
4. Roses De Chloe Perfume/ Currently obsessed with this fragrance, after trying it in one of those annoying sample things that fall out of magazines, I'm hooked.
5. Wildfox/  I'm dying over this top from Wildfox it's just too freaking adorable!
Nuff' said!

January Favorites

Happy February & welcome to our first monthly favorites!
Last month I found a new foundation that makes my skin look amazing and went back to a haircare line that my hair adores!
Keep reading to check out the products I've been loving lately!

Bath time has never felt so luxurious, I leave the shower feeling like I've left the spa. These C.Booths products are all natural, I would recommend them to all skin types. The walnut shell body scrub adds the perfect amount of exfoliation to your bath time, the cleansing milk smells great and leaves your skin feeling baby soft. Finish off bath time by slathering yourself in fresh scented Italian olive oil body butter it's absolute perfection!

When you have acne prone skin it is a constant battle to keep it clear! The tea tree facial cleanser and the skin clearing lotion have been keeping my skin well balanced, not to oily and not too dry. I recommend this to all my friends who may be "blemishy". I feel like some acne washes are too strong at times and this is just perfect. These bad boys keep everything under control!
I am a little bit of a product whore, I love jumping from hair care line to hair care line but Joico's K-Pak is by far my holy grail product. I keep coming back, after one use the texture of my hair is like new. Anyone who uses hot tools on the daily or plays hair chameleon needs this extra haircare in their life!
When looking for a good foundation I am not easy convinced. Having acne prone skin anything breaks me out and I can rarely get the kind of coverage I am really looking for. When it comes to our skin we want it all, dewy but not oily, coverage but not caked. When I first tried the Liquid Halo I was thoroughly impressed. Thinking maybe it was a fluke I continued to use it all month long. I fell in love! My skin feels great, covered and still looking natural. At the end of the day I haven't found myself having that greasy gunky feeling that I have felt with other foundations in the past. Combining the Liquid Halo with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and the Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder. You will have yourself a winning trio!

I was first introduced to the Wet Brush when I was working in a hair salon in Beverly Hills. The Wet Brush was used on every head of hair that  walked through the door. There was a reason for this, the "Wet Brush" is hands done the best detangling brush out there. Our hair is the most fragile when wet and brushing our hair with any old brush can cause split ends like you won't believe! The Wet Brush is a saving grace! The line has since begun to expand, my new favorite is the "Shine Brush" these two together make for a winning combination!

Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid

Every year Pantone releases their color of the year
and this year's color is Radiant Orchid.
It has been pretty much everywhere I look these days.
My favorite beauty suggestions are below,
the great thing about this color is it looks great on any and everyone.
Don't worry, you aren't suppose to wear them all at once.
Try any of these items to add a perfect pop of color to your look!
Lorac Lip Luxe in Orchid
Zoya Polish in Perrie
Benefit Lollitint
Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Jolie Poupee
Tarte EmphasEYES Waterproof Liner in Plum
(Items pictured clock-wise)

If you girls are anything like me and are a little color shy
(I could literally wear black everyday)
try a little sass piece action like I did here,
I have gotten nothing but compliments on this subtle but sassy mani.
